Connectivity without an identity file

TELN started from a simple frustration: buying a little mobile data or a temporary number should not require handing over a passport scan, an email address and a payment card.

TELN is a prepaid connectivity platform. You create an account that consists of one generated 12-character passcode, add credit with cryptocurrency, and spend it on exactly two things: mobile data on an eSIM, and virtual phone numbers that receive SMS.

There is no subscription, no monthly plan and no bundle to burn through before it expires. Data is metered per megabyte against your wallet balance. Numbers are rented for a fixed period and renew only if you have the credit and leave renewal enabled.

Because there is no identity attached to an account, TELN cannot recover a lost passcode or move credit between accounts. That constraint is the point of the product, and it is stated everywhere it matters rather than buried.

Principles

How we make product decisions

Collect nothing

Identity data is a liability. TELN asks for no email, no phone number and no documents, so a breach has nothing worth taking.

Charge for what is used

Bundles expire and waste money. TELN prices data per megabyte and numbers per rental period, drawn from one wallet.

Show the maths

Every wallet movement is an immutable ledger entry with a description and the resulting balance. Nothing is rounded away.

Say the limits out loud

Some numbers cannot receive messages from certain services, and a lost passcode is unrecoverable. We put that on the page, not in the fine print.

Try it with a small top-up

Create a passcode account, add a few euro of credit and see the ledger work.
